Fri 22nd to Mon 25th October 2010 - Sligo Live For this October Bank Holiday weekend, we are delighted to announce that we will be part of another major growing event, 2010 Sligo Live. We will set up on Rockwood Parade from Friday 22nd to Monday 25th of October 2010, from 10am to 6pm each day. Our French & Continental section will be joined by Irish Traders.

Sunday 10th October 2010 - Ballinasloe October Fair The last day of the Oldest Horse Fair is a French Market by tradition over the last few years. This year it became a French & Continental Day... From 9am to 6pm in Market Square alongside the Pet Show. Our greatest thanks to the Horse Fair Committe and more especially to Charlene Bloe, the most dedicated Event Manager. Fri 24th & Sat 25th September 2010 - Greystones - Meridian Point The French Market of Ireland would be at the Meridian Point in Greystones for the launch of our first Monthly Weekday Market. This launch has been organised in synergy with the first participation of Greystones to the Culture Night
"6/22/2010 'Organisers, Temple Bar Cultural Trust, say what began as small scale Culture Night in the Temple Bar area in 2006 is this year spreading to 20 towns, cities and counties across Ireland, and reaching as far as the islands of Tory and Inis Meáin. Streets, venues and open-spaces will come alive with a rich cultural offering of electric atmosphere, colour, music, performance and workshops providing people with an opportunity to reacquaint or introduce themselves to a vast and rich cultural offering.' We have a number of free shows and exhibitions taking place on this night from 5.00 pm. We hope you can make it to some of them. Fr 17th & Sat 18th September 2010 - Navan Live After our 1st year anniversary last July, we will be back in New Ross for the second edition of the Celtic River Festival over 2 days this year: Saturday 11th & Sunday 12th September 2010, from 10am to 6pm each day.
Our greatest thanks to Navan Town Council and more especially to Audrey Norris for her support in the realisation of this event. Sat 11th & Sun 12th September 2010 - Celtic River Festival After our 1st year anniversary last July, we will be back in New Ross for the second edition of the Celtic River Festival over 2 days this year: Saturday 11th & Sunday 12th September 2010, from 10am to 6pm each day.

Fri 20th & Tues 24th August 2010 - Rose of Tralee Festival The French Market of Ireland was delighted to be part of this year Rose of Tralee Festival. For its first time in Kerry, we will set up in the heart of the action, in Denny Street, from Fri 20 to Tues 24 Aug. 2010, from 10am-6pm each day!

For the second consecutive year, The French & Continental Market of Ireland is delighted to take part in the JFK Dunbrody Festival. With Free Gigs on the Main stage in the Town Park, we will be on the way, on the Quay beside the Dunbrody Famine Ship. "The town of New Ross in County Wexford bursts into life during the annual JFK Dunbrody Festival with a packed programme of entertainment. Celebrating all that is great about the Emerald Isle, events are rich and varied and include traditional Irish music, street theatre, pipe bands, tapestry displays and a river regatta. Throughout the three-day festival there is an international market with stalls selling everything from regional food specialties to handmade crafts. With plenty of events during the day aimed at entertaining younger audiences and the popular Guinness Music Trail in the evenings, this is a fun festival for all the family." Ref. Fri 2nd to Sun 4th July 2010 - Kells Summer Festival Kells Summer Festival has invited us to take part in the 19th Edition of Kells Summer Festival 2010. We set up on the Car Park opposite the Church on Friday 2nd and Saturday 3rd July and be part of Kells Market Day on Sunday 4th July 2010. The full program is now available. Click here to download. We have kept some incredible memory from this event where everyone was so welcoming and helpful. The strongest example was to see a member of the Garda helping a trader to pack after promoting the quality of the French Bread. Sun 20th to Tues 22nd June 2010 - Kildare Derby Festival in Kildare Town Following our last visit in Kildare town in March this year, the French & Continental Market of Ireland has been invited to come back as part of the Kildare Derby Festival. The program of the first day include Bike racing, Parade and Concert. Click here to see the full program. Every visitor could also take this opportunity to visit National Stud, Japanese Gardens, Kildare Village and other Kildare Local attractions. My greatest thanks to the Kildare Derby Committee and more especially to Ollie Kearns and Sally Purcell. Sat 5th to Mon 7th June 2010 - Carrickmacross Festival Celebrating its 10th Anniversary, the Festival had an incredible line-up. Everyone is ensure to get fun and fullfilment. Our French & Continental Food and International Craft would be here for adding to one's enjoyment.

Sun 30th & Mon 31st May 2010 - 12th Annual 'Blues on the Bay Festival' Our second step of the May Bank holiday was in Warrenpoint for the Blues on the Bay's Festival. In its 12th year, the "Blues on the Bay" is a well established festival with 93 Blues Gigs this year over 4 days. Full Festival program available on: www.bluesonthebay.co.uk.
The French & Continental Market took place in the Park from 10am to 6pm each day, with music entertainment. The Park is located along Queen Street (A2) and the Seafront, at walking distance from the Harbour where the Tall Ship Artemis will be on Sunday. Warrenpoint (with Rostrevor - 10,000 inh), commuter town of Newry (15 min) during the week, becomes at the weekend and troughout the summer, coastal resorts on the fringe of the Mourne mountains, with a wonderful view on the Newry-Carlingord Lough. A very special thanks to Ian Sands for his kind invitation and to Paul Braham of the Chamber of Commerce for his support. Fri 28th & Sat 29th May 2010 - Albert Basin Maritime Festival in Newry City For Northern Ireland May Bank Holiday weekend, our first step was in Newry. The French Market of Ireland has been invited by Newry City Council in association with the Albert Basin Maritime Festival (Part of the Newry & Carlingford Lough Maritime Festival). Market was held on Fri 28 & Sat 29 May 2010 (Bank Holiday Weekend in Northen Ireland), alongside the quays of the Clanrye river and the Quay Shopping Shopping Centre, from 9am to 7pm each day. Our greatest thanks to Gerry Brennan and Paddy Duffy for their effort in building up this event. Sun 2nd May 2010 - Art Festival & Food Festival in Drogheda May Bank holiday weekend second step was in Drogheda at a all new location: South Side of the Boyne River, from St Mary Bridge to the Foot Bridge
This came in conjunction with the Spring Food Festival organised by Scotch Hall Shopping Centre and the Drogheda Arts Festival. The Spring Festival offers Live Music & Cooking Demonstration. The Drogheda Arts Festival had a wide range of Entertainment including: "The Ones who kill shooting stars" play by Conall Quinn, Directed by Paul Hayes, Piano Concert of Celibrity Young-Choon Park featuring works by Hayden, Scarlatti, Beethoven and Chopin, Poetry & Conversation Reading with Eiléan Ní Chuilleanáin, Concert of Dervish. Our greatest thanks to Mark Leech & Nathalie Dennis from Scotch Hall Shopping Centre, for their kind invitation, and to Louth County Council (Alison Condra), and Drogheda Borough Council, (Darius Messayeh, Jeanne Rush & Sean Boylan). Fri 30th April & Sat 1st May 2010 - Food Festival in Ashbourne First step of this year May Bank holiday weekend with 2 days in Ashbourne, in conjunction with the Food Festival organised by the Ashbourne Main Street Committee.
This Food Festival included Cookery & Barbecue demos with Celebrity Chef Nevin Maguire (Best Chef at The Irish Restaurant Awards 2009), Wine Tasting, Live Music, Clown, Puppet Show, Face Painting, Bouncy Castle & Games. Our greatest thanks to the Ashbourne Shop Committee for its kind invitation and to William Brennan and Stephen, Tesco GM, from their kind assistance in making this event successfull. Sun 4th April 2010 - Easter Market in Mullingar The French & Continental Market of Ireland has delegated few of his traders to compliment the Local Market of the day, in order to celebrate Easter. Our greatest thanks to Barlte D'Arcy from the Belvedere House, for its vision and support and Westmeath County Council & Mullingar Chamber of Commerce for their kind invitation. Fri 19th to Sun 21st March 2010 - Spring & 6 Nations Market in Kildare Town Our first market of 2010 was held in Market Square in Kildare Town, from Friday 19th to Sunday 21st March. Introducing our new team for 2010, we were delighted to get the opportunity to create the perfect atmosphere in synergy with local Shops and Publicans. Several Traditional Pubs being the perfect location for watching every game of the last 6 Nations weekend.
